Go All Out and Fast With Bosch 36618-02

Wonder why your arms and wrists feel weak and your whole body tired while working on a usual project or task? You might want to check the tools you are using...are they heavy or light? Are they working right or are you exerting more strength and effort to make it perfectly work? If your drill is making life harder, then it's time for a change.

Bosch 36618-02 is a one of a kind drilling power tools that does wonders. It consistently earns high ratings from satisfied consumers and most of them stick to Bosch for other tools. Though there's already hundreds of varying cordless drill brands in the market, nothing beats the excellent performance of Bosch. Here's why:

- One remarkable feature of Bosch 36618-02 is that it has an amazingly durable casing a.k.a. "Durashield™". The components are flexible it can resist damage even a strong impact of fall and drops as high as 5-10 feet, thus effectively protecting the fragile parts inside. You may accidentally drop it on the floor several times, or leave it outside the house while it's dusty or misty-no worries! Leave it to Durashield ™

- You won't be exerting too much effort just to help your tool pass through the hard wood block. Bosch delivers a powerful speed of 1,600 RPM and torque of 500in/lbs. which is pretty fast and powerful making you work faster with lesser effort compared to average/regular drills in the market. It's versatile as you can choose over 20 settings when it comes to the speed!

- As you look at its design, you can notice how its body's frame is smaller and slimmer than the standard drills. Bosch made it sure that the user won't feel stressed-out as the tool is on work. The grip is nice and comfy to hold which is slightly soft and weighs relatively lighter 3.7 lbs so whenever you work in long hours, you won't feel your wrist being strained.

- You don't need to worry for that long charging time and fast energy run out-lithium ion battery is the energy source of the Bosch 36618-02 and it's been known to deliver higher power reservation while maintaining its performance on supplying power over the tool. Even if you work in a very big and tough project, it can withstand it efficiently.

- It's the time that you drop your flashlight and work on dark areas carrying only the drilling tool. The LED light lightens up in advance as you push the trigger, but you don't need to worry over its energy consumption-LED only takes up only few of it.

Bosch does it again

Super tool! I usually don't brand-buy, but my garage seems to be collecting a lot of blue-green and red tools. I have a Bosch RO sander and jigsaw now, and I think they are both top notch. This cordless drill fits right in with the other quality tools. Background: I use this tool for light to heavy work (fine woodworking, drywall, rough carpentry, make holes in 4x4 joists with spade bits to run electrical cable).

The drill is very slender compared to my old (got it three years ago) cordless Craftsman. I can drill in tighter spaces now without having to use my 90 degree attachment. The size reduction also means a lighter tool, which is very deceptive; this drill has some serious power. Nothing like a corded drill but still... The power of the 18 volt is impressive to say the least. I love the 30-minute charge time for the baterries. I fully anticipate solely using this drill thoughout an entire day-long project.

The ratcheting lock it GREAT! I put in a bit and tighten it down with a ratchet lock. This feature has given me the utmost confidence that a bit will never again slip again.

The price is kind of up there compared to competitors, but you get a whole lot of quality with this purchase. Highly recommend!

Why I Prefer Selling Bosch Cordless Tools

I have been selling cordless tools for sometime now, and I have to admit to my customers, I am biased towards Bosch cordless tools. Why? At first it was simply because my Bosch rep took the best care of us (he still does). But read on, there is more to it than that, much more.

Every tool line has it's problems and the Bosch cordless tools line is no different. There was a time when we had many problems with the cordless Bosch drills. In addition to having trouble with the gear shift, they had a tendency to break the nose off during a drop situation. Now, the breaking problem is not just something that Bosch had problems with. As the tools got bigger and more powerful, they weighed more and fell harder, we saw that in all the lines. But as for the bad gear shifter, that was just a bad design. What impressed me with this particular situation is that Bosch went well beyond their advertised warranty which not only made me look good, it made them look good and impressed on my customer that they were serious about having top of the line tool.

Well in the age of the lithium drill, Bosch is still making it easy for me to sell their tool line with confidence. They made some serious changes to the cordless Bosch line by beefing up the tool with a better housing and steel reinforcements were necessary. Their Brute Tough line is next to unbreakable! I have only had to replace a couple of drill housings. One was run over by a truck on a cold January day and the other fell off a gas station canopy on a cold Wisconsin work day. Again this kind of durability makes me look good and keeps the customer on the job.

Most of my repairs on Bosch cordless tools, since their introduction of the Brute Tough line, consists of a switch here or there, a bad chuck now and again and some brush sets or broken wire replacement. Today's cordless Bosch tools really have cut down on my service work, again, making me look good!

Now, add to that inherent reliability, a 3 year warranty. Bosch cordless tools come with a 3 year warranty. The first year is a replacement warranty. What does that mean? If you are on a job and the motor fries on you Bosch drill. You call Bosch, they send you a new drill with a label for your old drill, you box it up and send it back and you are done! That process usually takes just two days. You just can't beat that turn around time. The batteries are covered for two years, but the tool itself continues on for a total of three years of parts and labor. After 3 years, most cordless tools are getting a little tired, you only get so many charges out of any battery pack.

Yes the Bosch cordless tools line with the three year warranty makes me look good (do you see a pattern?). One problem with the warranty is that you must register for the warranty for it to be in affect for three years. This is where the potential for me to look bad rears it's ugly head. If you don't register the tool with Bosch, you won't have the 3 year warranty. It's funny how many of my customers have heard the "3 year warranty" but not the "if you register with Bosch" part. I have remedied that though, I usually register the tools for my customer. Again it makes me look good, especially if a repair on the tool is needed.

Don't hesitate on a Bosch cordless tools because you have to register the tool. It really is quite simple. You can do it on line or give Bosch ProVantage a call. It usually take only a couple of minutes to register a tool. Once you have registered one tool, registering more in the future is very easy, just make sure you keep you account info on file. A real advantage of the Bosch ProVantage program is you can actually keep track of your tools on line including your purchase date and any service work that was performed on the tool.

Why do I like selling the cordless Bosch tools? I told you, it makes me look good!

Powerful cordless drill!

After researching cordless drills for a little while, I settled on this Bosch. I actually got one that was reconditioned by Bosch and offered on Amazon for a great price. I was very pleased! It still came with the great case and two lithium-ion batteries and, what power! My husband is in the process of building a detached two car garage with a second story apartment for my son and his wife. I really got this tool for my own use, but he's been using it when he doesn't want to drag his corded drill around out there. He has been really impressed with the Bosch. It's even a champion when drilling holes in the concrete, which we were told he should really have a hammer drill for. He's not going to buy another tool just for this project, but the Bosch is working wonders. The batteries hold up great, charge in short time, and have full power all the way until the battery needs to be replaced. It's great to have two batteries so that one is charging while the other is in use so you just have a quick break while changing batteries. It even works great after he forgot to put it away one night and it was rained on. We dried it out of course and now I remind him about his tools, but I'm glad it didn't lose any power with that mishap.

Amazing Drill

Recently I needed to purchase a new drill for work, and chose this one for several reasons. First and foremost, I own several Bosch tools and I already know that when I buy Bosch I won't be disappointed. The craftsmanship and functionality of their tools is top notch, and this one is no exception. The second reason I chose this drill was due to the Lithium Ion battery pack. If you can get the same juice out of a smaller and lighter package, why not? With this drill in my hand I felt like I was holding an older 12v model, but with the power of an 18v. I'll never use Ni-MH again. What surprised me more than anything else though, is the way the battery holds power. With older drills, as the battery loses power, so does the drill. This drill works at full power until the battery is drained, allowing you to work at full capacity until its time to change batteries. The final reason I chose this drill was for the torque rating. Simply put, I like power, and its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. At this price point and combination of features, this was the most powerful drill available when I made my purchase. I find myself actually using the different torque and speed settings based on the job I am doing instead of just putting it on the highest setting and hoping I've got enough power. I'm probably going to get one of these for the house really soon even though I've got a perfectly fine cordless drill already. I like it that much.

Excellent product from Bosch!

Great drill! I am Contractor and currently own the 36v Bosch litheon drill (Dewalt XRP before that), but I got tired of using it for smaller projects like hanging doors and installing cabinets due to it's bulky size and weight. I now find myself using this drill for everything. It has an excellent power to weight ratio and is very smooth/refined. I have the slim pack batteries and they hold a good charge. I will still keep the 36V around but it may end up collecting dust. I have only owned the 18v for two weeks now so I can't comment on it's long term reliability, but I have used it for sinking numerous 3" deckmates into framing lumber, speedbores, small holesaws, backerboard screws, and other fasteners. I can't comment on it's mixing ability (mortar and other cement mixtures), but that's what electric corded drills are for. As an every day user, I am very happy with this purchase.
